Hello, I’m Abdou, your guide in Fez. Since 1998, I have been privileged to call this fascinating city my home and to share its history, culture and secrets with travelers from all over the world.

Visit of Fez all day

We must prepare for this exit, comfortable shoes to kick the city, we will travel at least about 8 kms on foot in pedestrian streets and alleys. It is a Flashback in time, the city maintains the structure of 11 centuries ago. Walls for defensive purposes, narrow residential and wide commercial streets. Its public baths, ovens, mosques, fountains are original. The Medina is the only case of an entire city declared as a world heritage site.

The outer part needs to be seen with a transport. It can be contracted depending on the number of people.

Day excursion to Chaouen: 214kms X 2

One more contrast to highlight, the city painted white and blue in the middle of the Rif mountain range. Remember Spain with its past and its modern history. Its streets are reminiscent of the Spanish south with its narrow streets and floral decorations on the windows. Its central square with the Hotel Parador, restaurants and tearooms recalls the white villages of the Alpujarra of Granada. His people are very humble, kind and helpful. It is an option to spend a day out and return to Fez or continue to Tangier.

Day excursion Volubilis and Meknes: 180kms

It is about the Roman ruins more inside the country and better preserved at the same time. Impressive its structure of the Palace of justice, the colorful mosaics and says much of the pre-Islamic Roman era of Morocco.
It continues with the visit of the city of Meknes, built near Fez in S 17 the most modern of these imperial cities. Bab el Mansour, the mausoleum of Moulay Ismael together with the Lahdim square are points not to be missed.

Desert Express Excursion: Fez – Merzouga: 459kms X 2

Day 1- Early departure to the Middle Atlas. In a few kilometers you gain a lot of altitude. A ski station: Michlifen is 82 km away and 2000 m above sea level. Then we pass the high Eastern Atlas (Tizi Talghumt: 1907m) and continue descending through cities like Midelt and reaching the Ziz Valley and the Oasis of Tafilalt and its capital Erfoud. The fossil quarries, nomadic settlements, the Berber and Tuaregs populations … everything offers a safe disconnection. He sleeps in the Albergue at the foot of the dunes. Dinner included.
Day 2- We wake up early, Climb on dromedary and go to a high point of dunes to see the sunrise. After breakfast we followed the visit of Rissani and the way back to Fez.

Mini tour: Fez – Marrakech via the Desert: Approx 1100kms

It is a small tours that allows you to discover the desert from Fez and end up in Marrakech after crossing the route of the thousand and one kasbas.
Day 1- Early departure, heading to the Middle and High Atlas towards the south east of Morocco. In the dunes of Merzouga we will spend the first night.
Day 2- After dawn and the ride with the camel, we have breakfast and go out to visit the villages around, Erfoud, Risani and on the way to the city of roses Megouna we will pass through Tinghir, Gorges of Todra.
Day 3 – Departure to continue to Marrakech the red one, passing through Ouarzazate the mecca of Moroccan cinema and its kasbas Ait ben haddou and Taourirt. The crossing of the Col de Tichka leads us to the city of Marrakech with its World Heritage Square. Jamaa the fna.
